Fans can be seen as the driving engine behind extraction systems which utilise are utilised to exhaust dust and fumes where necessary as well as being utilised to convey/transport materials over great distances. Different types of fans can be supplied for various applications including centrifugal, axial, bifurcated, belt driven, plate mounted and numerous other fans by Dustair to suit your specific application. When high-pressure systems are required we can multistage fans in order to develop high static pressure as well as providing single narrow with radial blowers dependent upon the process. Fans can be provided independently or incorporated into equipment. We are happy to provide all forms of fans for the LEV industry, manufactured in a mixture of different materials to suit your specifications. We can supply equipment manufactured in mild steel, stainless steel of various grades, plastic and other fabricated materials dependent upon the process. We are happy to supply equipment for incorporation of free issue motors as well as being able to provide starters and other complex control panels for the operation of the equipment.

Dustair can provide many forms of air movement fans including in line, bifurcated, belt driven or direct driven axial type fans, cased fans, centrifugal fans and other forms of high-pressure fans including multistage turbines. Fans can be fabricated in various media such as mild steel, stainless steel and plastic. We can provide specialist fans such as high-pressure blowers, chopper fans for swarf handling and transfer fans for moving materials. Various finishes can be applied together with ancillary equipment such as control dampers, regulators, attenuators and lagging. For abrasive materials we can manufacture in hard wearing materials such as hardox, Ar500 or other exotic materials for high temperature applications.

The twin stage high-pressure blower (above) was supplied for a strip dryer installed overseas on a metal process line. Twin stage system developed over 60 inches water gauge (15KPa) to enable the air to be blown onto the strip surface in excess of 20,000ft./m. At this velocity the water droplets are driven across the surface to the edge and removed from the strip. The large aerofoil fan (below) was installed at Bridgnorth Aluminium during the shutdown period to replace an existing inefficient and noisy axial flow unit. The complete installation including the removal of the existing ductwork, fan, installation of the new fan with modified ductwork had to be carried out during a tight time frame with access limited due to existing services and equipment. The large attenuator beyond the fan had to be manually moved into position on custom rollers due to the inability to access with the overhead crane.
