For many years Dustair Limited have been providing new rolling mill extraction systems on both steel and aluminium rolling mills for a number of mil manufacturers.
These include the likes of Davy, Kvaerner, Danielli, Parkgate, SMS and Primetals . We have worked on various projects for many of the main aluminium and metals groups such as Arconic, Alcoa, Novellis, Inco, Tata, Alcomet, Samara, Alleris, Sapa and Granges. We have supplied new equipment including complete mill exhaust systems, filters, ductwork, fans, fire control dampers and designed a vast number of Rolling mill exhaust systems all over the world from South Africa to China and from Russia to Poland. Given the large volumetric space taken up by the equipment, many times these have been supplied on a design only basis for manufacture overseas by the customer or their agents.

Aluminium rolling mill hoods installed in China after design and fabrication of the hoods were carried out in the UK. This enabled the trial mill build to be carried out with pipes and services being added within the hoods and enclosures before dismantling for reassembly in China. All of the hoods and enclosures were fabricated before shot blasting and painting, packing then shipping as seaboard freight to the final destination.

Filter boxes and fans fabricated in the UK being packed for shipment to China for installation on a new Aluminium tandem rolling mill. The design of the platform structure nominally 24 metres by 9 metres and hooding to control the fume emissions was all within Dustair scope of supply. The latter was all manufactured locally in China with the complex components such as fans, filters and dampers being shipped from the UK. Final air volume was in excess of 150, 000 cfm on the main mill. Extraction was also provided for the single stand hot mill running along side tandem mill extraction.
