Design only Services.
Dustair are able to supply design only services where goods and materials are to be manufactured by others. This can commonly be a requirement for overseas equipment where shipping of the equipment can be cost prohibitive. Drawings would be supplied in an electronic format with suitable bills of material if requested and typically produced in a two dimensional format in AUTOCAD. We can also supply drawings embedded into a customers standard drawing borders incorporating specific macros where applicable. Designs will be based on metric system however we can supply in an imperial format for specific requirements. In preparation of the drawings for retrofitting or modification of existing equipment we can also carry out the site surveys and site measurements of equipment before translating these into drawings. Should you require upgrading or modifications to existing equipment please supply any existing drawings, documentation or photographs of the plant and equipment and we can supply costings to suit. Should this also entail supervision of any modifications or installation once again we will be most happy to provide costings.

A metal fabrication company in Cradley required the provision of a new fume exhaust canopy to be fitted onto a new galvanising bath. This was being designed similar to the existing as this arrangement was ideal for the process application. Dustair provided full detailed designs of the hood for the customer to fabricate in-house and to assemble directly onto the new galvanising bath. An additional hood was also provided to replace the existing that was struggling to control the fume effectively with improvements being made to the design and arrangement of the fume capture system. Following the completion of the hood assemblies Dustair then provided new ductwork from the hoods to the existing filter unit.

Dustair were contracted by a customer in Sweden to provide an upgrade of their fume extraction system on the hot rolling mill. To enable all of the equipment to be manufactured locally, Dustair attended site and did a full survey of the mill equipment, and from this, subsequently provided the complete designs for the hood and enclosures around the mill. This interfaced with new fans and ductwork provided locally and was all manufactured in Sweden. The customer then carried out the installation of the equipment during a shutdown period producing a much more aesthetically pleasing and efficient enclosure. Fumes were captured at source and removed from the building. Swinging panels were required on both the inlet and outlet side of the mill to prevent damage to the hood if curl up of the strip occurred during the rolling process.
